About

I'm Ashutosh Kumar, the operator behind TimeToSkillIt. I work with founders and small teams on the systems behind the work — operations, reporting, and the way execution actually flows day to day.

Founder Introduction

I'm Ashutosh Kumar. I started TimeToSkillIt to do the work I kept being asked to do inside companies — make the operations behind the work less dependent on memory, chat threads, and whoever happened to remember.

My approach is calm and practical: map the problem, improve the system, and let the results follow. I don't promise transformation. I promise thoughtful problem solving, honest communication, and steady improvement of the work behind the outcomes.

Professional Journey

The work started in operations — close to the daily reality of how work actually gets done, where the friction lives, and where the small improvements compound.

From there it moved toward systems: reporting that shows whether the business is actually healthy, workflows that don't depend on who remembers, and the connective tissue between tools and people.

The next step was products — building the tools I kept recommending, so the work isn't only advisory. SkillIt and Dictate are the first two, both in development.

TimeToSkillIt is where this comes together: advisory work for founders and small teams, plus products that address the same problems at scale.

TimeToSkillIt Philosophy

Most friction comes from how tools, people, and processes connect — not from a single broken piece. I start there, not with the symptom.

Outcomes follow from process. I improve the process, then let the outcomes follow from it — rather than promising a result and working backward to justify it.

I optimize for trust and durability over the short-term conversion. The kind of work that compounds across years is usually slower and less exciting than it looks from the outside.

Current Focus

My time splits across three areas that feed each other.

Products

SkillIt (an education app for continuous learning) and Dictate (meeting recording, transcription, and summarization) — both in development.

Consulting

Hands-on advisory for founders and small teams on operations, reporting, and the systems behind execution. Scoped to the problem on the call.

Systems

The connective work — dashboards, workflows, and the way tools and people hand off to each other. The unglamorous part that makes everything else work.

Let's scope it together on the call

If something here resonates with a problem you're sitting with, the next step is a conversation — not a proposal. Tell me where the business is and what's breaking, and I'll map the problem and the systems around it.
